3 Audiences Your Blog Needs To Talk To.
Here’s a quick SEO tip that can help turn your blogging into epic rock star status material: consider your potential audiences each time you park it in that comfy chair to compose your brilliance. There are 3 distinct audiences I think you should be addressing:
Audience 1. Your prospects and clients. While this is super obvious, you’d be surprised how many folks are caught up talking to themselves in their blog. You know your clients and you know who buys your products and / or services. Write to them. Speak to them. Hang out with them and be real.
Audience 2. The Media. I’ve shared a few instances where one of my blog topics have reinforced to someone (a reporter, news director, etc.) that I am an expert. By continuously reinforcing yourself as an expert on your blog, you can get the best free media possible. I’m not saying this to brag, but because of my Blog, I’ve been on national tv 3 times, been on local TV several times, been on the radio and have been quoted on the front page of the money section in the USA Today. It can happen, and it can change your business.
Audience 3. The Search Engines. Ok, normally SEO guys put this one first, but I firmly believe that people come first. Once we’ve addressed prospects and the media, we need someone or something to index it so that people can find it. Writing for search engines is super important, so is the structure of your blog, the keywords you are using, the site structure and many more factors. I do encourage you to consult with an SEO expert (you can of course call me: In Orlando: 407-830-4550.) to make your blog as SEO friendly as possible.
