Home Sweet Home.

When you have your web designer build your web site, I want you to direct them to do the following: Treat every page like the ‘home’ page.  If every page of your web site isn’t warm, isn’t inviting and doesn’t tell the end user what you want them to do, they are essentially pointless.  If your web site is built properly navigation wise, Google will ‘deep crawl’ your pages and could list individual pages in the search engine results.
